of colourful miners cottages, only a few minutes walk from the beach. Aberdyfi offers plenty of opportunities for family fun but is also a short drive to a variety of other places to explore in Snowdonia and along the Welsh coast.

THINGS TO DO

Aberdyfi Beach

A long, unspoilt and sandy beach stretching for well over four miles from the seaside village and towards Tywyn beach to the north.

Tywyn Beach

Tywyn is a huge expanse of sandy beach which is popular with surfers as it picks up the westerly Atlantic swells.

Talyllyn Railway

Experience the nostalgia of historic steam trains. Starting in Tywyn,  the railway snakes through the foothills of Cader Idris to Dolgoch Falls, Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol..

Corris Craft Centre

A great collection of shops and activities, that include Pottery Painting and Candle Making. Only a 20 minute drive from the Cottage.

The Bearded Lake

Llyn Barfog or ‘Bearded Lake’ is a popular natural beauty spot. From the centre of Aberdyfi you can take the panoramic walk to the lake.

Harlech Castle

A scenic train journey following the coast will take you to Harlech Castle, a Grade I-listed medieval fortification, constructed atop a spur of rock close to sea.
